Biography: Jacki Witt, RNC, MSN, JD, WHNP, CNM, Clinical Associate Professor, teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in women’s health. Since 2004 she has collaborated with Truman Medical Center and the UMKC School of Medicine as co-chair of the Clinical Services Committee for the DHHS funded Women’s Center of Excellence. In 2006, Witt received one of 11 national “Cherokee Inspired Comfort” awards for her work with underserved mothers through the Helen Gragg Adult Clinic at Operation Breakthrough. Since 2006, Witt has served as the Project Director for the Clinical Training Center for Family Planning, a DHHS funded professional training program for clinicians working in family planning clinics. She practices as a women’s health nurse practitioner in a local health department, the Kansas City Free Health Clinic and the Women’s Wellness Center at Truman Medical Centers. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Maternal Child Health Coalition of Greater Kansas City.
