The School of Nursing Research Support Team is comprised of highly skilled professionals whose mission is to facilitate research activities in the School of Nursing and to manage all activities related to grant development, submission and administration. Research Support Team services include the following:

• Locate sources of funding
• Conduct literature searches
• Assist with development of research proposals
• Complete and submit electronic grant application forms
• Develop budgets and spreadsheets for research projects
• Format biographical sketches
• Draft cover letters and letters of support
• Edit grant applications
• Serve as liaison between faculty and the UMKC Office of Research Services
• Prepare and submit university-specific grant forms
• Obtain appropriate signatures for research proposals
• Verify adherence to grant application guidelines
• Assist with IRB/IACAC applications, renewals and reports
• Provide regular budget reports on funded grants
• Assist with grant progress reports and final reports
• Edit article manuscripts
• Submit manuscripts electronically
